Carp Fishing in Nottinghamshire

Clumber Park
Clumber Park is a National Trust property covering 3800 acres of woods, heath and farmland with a majestic serpentine lake at it's heart. Entry to the park itself is £4.50 per car although this can be avoided by arriving early, as the ticket office is only manned from approximately 10am. The fishing is 7am till dusk with day tickets collected on the bank. The dam end (Hardwick village) is favoured as it offers the greatest depth. Contains carp to well over 40lb but we're not too sure of stock density.

Open all year 7am till dusk, No night fishing, maximum 2 rods.
Day Ticket: £4.50 Adult, £2.50 Concessions, membership: £55 Adult and £35 Concessions

Sapphire Lakes
Situated in Cromwell, Notts - The main lake of interest is the Specimen Lake which has a good head of carp which go to just over 30lb with the first to go over the magic mark being banked by one of our forum members "Unclekipper". All methods are said to work here with hair rigged boilies being the best method for the larger carp. Tickets are about £12 for 24 hours and £75 per week, for more info call Eunice or Ken on 01636 821131.

South Muskham Fisheries (formerly known as the A1 pits)
South Muskham Fisheries which is near to Newark comprises of six lakes (Lake 1, no fishing-under development) and an exclusive stretch of the River Trent which provides the angler no matter there ability with good fishing. With its excellent access all the way round it is not just a fishing venue but somewhere the angler can catch fish and also have either a quite weekend away, or a week away with the option of caravans or tents being brought onto the fishery and
parking right in your designated swim, and clean toilets and freshwater on-site.
Lake Two - Carp match lake containing lots of small carp.
Lake Three - (10 acres) is becoming increasingly popular as it is producing the odd 20lb+ fish but also producing high numbers of mid to high doubles.
Lake four - (12 acres) Bream Lake.
Lake Five - (30 acres) is quickly becoming one of the most popular lakes on the site this is mainly because it is on a regular basis producing 20lb+ fish with biggest in there known to be 34lb, it is a big water and if tackled correctly can produce good catches this lake also has a high head of large doubles which can be potentially twenty pound fish soon.
Lake Six - (46 acres) is the most popular lake on the site with the specimen carp anglers and this is because it produces many twenty pound fish on a very, very regular basis, most of the fish which are found in both lakes five and six are common carp.
The River Trent - offers the carp angler a different type of carp fishing with its flow and size it is dubious challenge to the best of carp anglers be it
still water or running water. It has known to produce carp up to 30lbs and anglers often catch carp in the weight bracket of mainly doubles to low
twenty pound fish.
South Muskham Fisheries operate on day ticket basis, which is issued by the bailiff. The following costs apply to both the lakes and the river: £5 - 12
hours, £10 - 24 hours and £20 - 48 hours. For the price which is paid to fish South Muskham Fisheries and the availability of water (lakes and river
on the same ticket) to the angler it is easy to see why it is a popular venue.
Directions: To find South Muskham Fisheries leave the A1 at North Muskham, follow Church Lane towards South Muskham. The fishery entrance is on the left immediately after crossing the A1 and before the railway crossing.....For any information on the fishery call Steve the Bailiff on 07970209433 or visit teh web site web site
