Carp Fishing in Surrey

Bonfire & Willow Tree Lakes - near Dunsfold, Surrey run by the Carp Improvement Society. Though both lakes contain carp Willow Tree is the one which will interest us as it contains a a fairly low number of carp (around 25) which go to the mid-thirties in weight, Willow is being developed as a big carp water and with the stock kept low this is bound to be a success..... for more info visit their web site www.fish4carp.org

Brittons Pond - Smallish pond off Salt Box Road on the A320 between Woking and Guildford run by Guildford Angling Society. Loads a features to fish to including a couple of islands and areas of pads. Loads of nice looking Carp to mid 20's with a few ghosties thrown in for good measure. A nice rod bending water!

Burry Hill Fisheries - A very well run fishery this with a huge stock of fish of all species, the main lake is probably the best for the bigger carp. Day tickets are £10 per rod then another £5 for extra rods. For more details ring David de Vere on 01306 88621.

Clockhouse Lake - A two acre lake in Bedfont Country Park, Ashford in Surrey. Depths go from 6 feet close in to 12 feet in the center of the lake, carp go over 30 pound but average much smaller in size, there are also some good pike, tench, bream, roach and rudd. Tandridge Lake - Tandridge Lane, Lingfield, Surrey. The lake is 2 acres in size with depths up to 12 feet. Set in a quiet picturesque location in Lingfield and is mainly stocked with Carp in excess of 20lb up to 30lb plus Tench, Roach, Rudd & Bream.

Twynersh - A complex of lakes in Chertsey near the M3, of these pit two and the match are of the most interest to carp anglers as they contain carp to over 20lb though we're not sure of the stock numbers. Day tickets are around £5 for one rod and £8 for two, night fishing is done only on Fridays & Saturdays and must be booked in advance. For more info 01932 570156.
